The Escalon Police Department offers a Ride-Along program to citizens who are interested. A Ride-Along is where a citizen works a full or partial shift with a patrol officer. They will ride with an officer and be able to observe what it is like to work in the field.
This is program that is mostly utilized by people who are actively pursuing or considering a career in Law Enforcement, although anyone interested can participate. If you are interested in participating in a Ride-Along, you can fill out an application on-line.
